Organising paperwork
Helping you make sense of your paperwork.
Family court proceedings can involve a large amount of correspondence, applications, statements, orders and supporting evidence. We can help you organise your documents so that information is easier to understand and locate when you need it.
Support can include:
-
Organising court documents and correspondence
-
Helping you identify important dates and deadlines
-
Creating a clear filing system for your case
-
Helping you prepare documents for meetings or hearings
-
Creating checklists of documents you may need
-
Helping you understand what information you already have and what may still be outstanding
We do not provide legal advice, but we can help you feel more organised and prepared.
Timeline Creation
Helping you put your story into a clear chronological order.
When a lot has happened, particularly over a long period of time, it can be difficult to remember dates, events and important details.
We can support you to create a clear timeline covering relevant events such as:
-
Important relationship or family events
-
Incidents relevant to the proceedings
-
Police or professional involvement
-
Contact arrangements
-
Court applications and hearings
-
Court orders and decisions
-
Relevant communication or correspondence
-
Other significant events relating to your case
The aim is to help you understand the sequence of events and prepare more confidently for discussions about your case.
Emotional Preparation
You don't have to prepare for court alone.
Family court proceedings can feel overwhelming, particularly when you are dealing with uncertainty, conflict or difficult experiences.
Her Voice provides a supportive space where you can talk through your concerns and prepare emotionally for what to expect.
We can help you:
-
Talk through concerns ahead of a hearing
-
Prepare for the practicalities of attending court
-
Identify questions you may want to raise with your solicitor or adviser
-
Think about how you want to communicate important information
-
Prepare yourself for potentially difficult conversations
-
Access specialist organisations where additional emotional or domestic abuse support is needed
Her Voice provides practical and emotional support but is not a counselling or emergency service.
Confidence Building
Helping you feel informed, prepared and heard.
Going through family court can sometimes leave people feeling unsure of themselves or afraid to speak.
We can help you prepare so you feel more confident about:
-
Explaining your situation clearly
-
Asking questions
-
Understanding what is happening during the process
-
Preparing for meetings with professionals
-
Attending court hearings
-
Keeping track of important information
-
Advocating for yourself
-
Knowing when to ask for specialist help
Our Service Boundaries
To make sure you receive the right support, it is important to be clear about what Her Voice can and cannot provide;
